Our Club Emblem

About Our Emblem - Mary

We would like to introduce the emblem for our club. This is Mary.

Mary was donated to our club to use as our emblem by the hugely talented artist Sue Banks.

We are delighted to use Mary as our emblem as she was a wonderful ambassador of the breed.

Sue was commissioned to draw Mary by Tracy Hammond to give to her friend Lucy Nash after she sadly lost her sole mate Mary.

A short eulogy from Lucy Nash -

"Sh Ch Alfigio Amelia aka hairy Mary was born in 2006 along with her other 6 litter mates.

Mary was out if our first litter and was chosen by us as she just had something extra special, little did we know how well she would do in the show ring winning more than we could ever imagine. She won 15 CCs and 8 RCCs, numerous group placing and was top Spinone in 2012.

Mary was bred and owned by myself and my mother Elaine, she was adored by her family especially my son Archie who still speaks about her to this day and will always be our bright star in the sky. She was just the most wonderful girl and helped me through some bad times, i'm sure she knew me better than I knew myself.

She wasn't quite 9 yrs old when she went to rainbow bridge but we know she is always around as she sends us white feathers to remind us she is looking over us.  Our wonderful friends Tracy Hammond and Steve Evens commissioned the talented Sue Banks to capture her in a beautiful picture.

We are thrilled Mary has been chosen to be the emblem for the Scottish club, she will be keeping watch from above."
